W.M.S.F. rEPORT : VISIT TO eMINA
The M.S.G. (Mission Support Group) sub group in Epe visited three mission fields in the riverine area under Epe/Ibeju Local Government (Lagos State, Nigeria) namely Emina, Saga and Offin Jago on Saturday 23rd of February 2008 to share the love of Christ with young converts there and the missionaries working on the fields. The following is a report on the work in Emina.
Emina is linked to Saga by a bush part, both of them form an Island surrounded by a vast river water. Unlike Saga, building can be erected on the ground here. The primary school in this community (built in 1948) is the only block building on this Island(See picture below).
The community do not allow the use of the school for church services, hence a family donated their small room for this purpose. The team discussed with the Baale (Head) of the community on the need to give a land space to erect structure for the converts in the land to have church service. The Baale and elders we met that day promised to give us feedback after calling community members to table our request (look in picture below).
